Outlook 2003 Why is the original email missing when I reply?

Every original email from one particular contact is missing when I reply or
forward.
There are no problems with other emails/replys.
How can I show the original email when I reply to the sender?
Thanks

Brian,

Normally, when you reply or forward an email, the header and originial
message is attached to the bottom and you write your new message above it.
Do you understand so far?

Right now, when I reply or forward an email from a few friends, the original
message is missing, only the header shows up at the bottom.

My question is why and how do I stop this?

Yes. This is clear.

Do you have anything scanning mail, such as an antivirus program? What
format of message are you creating (HTML, plain text)?

Brian,

I always have Antivirus running and I'm reply the same way HTML.
Are you read my question carefully?
I stated that this problem occurs all the time when I reply to certain emails.
Example:
When I reply to (e-mail address removed), the message is missing all the time, but
when I reply to (e-mail address removed), the original message is included all the
time.

Some email replys/forwards are ok, some are not.

Thanks

First, do NOT scan mail with your antivirus program. Disable the mail
scanning feature. It may require an uninstall and a reinstall without the
feature to do that. Then, verify for certain that you are replying in HTML
format by clicking the Format menu and seeing if HTML is checked. Outlook
will reply using the same format as the original message no matter what
format you've chosen by default.

Brian,

Thanks for nothing, you have no insight about Outlook 2003.
You are stating useless things.
Anitvirius does not affect the reply and forward features.
HMTL / Rich text does not affect the reply and forward features.

"you are replying in HTML format by clicking the Format menu and seeing if
HTML is checked." The original email was in HMTL format.

This question can not be answered.

Microsoft seems to believe otherwise.

Just trying to eliminate variables so as to better isolate where the problem
may lie. Outlook debugging is difficult enough without add-ins getting in
the way.

You're perfectly free to disregard anything you read in these newsgroups and
are welcome to solve the problem without assistance.
