Outlook 2003 & Vista

Two problems having just started to work with Outlook 2003 and Vista:

1) Certain operation e.g. selecting Tools/Options taking a lvery ong time
waiting for the new egg timer to run - Outlook is locked during this time
2) need to 'accept' licence agreement every time Office programme selected.

Any help/advice appreciated.

For #2 try "run the program as administrator" which should update the
registry and eliminate the problem; I had the same issue and this is the fix
I used.

Thanks. I am logged in as Administrator and have also followed the procedure
to change the Registry but this does not appear to have solved the problem.

You have to open an "explorer" windon and find the folder where the
application resides; you should be able to do it with the search function
looking for "outlook" for example and see a file with type "application".
Right click on the file and select the "run as administrator" option. Give it
a try.

Hi I had exactly the same problem and found a fix courtesy of another
discussion thread about licences. If you go to
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884202 and follow that advice (as I did) it
miraciously not only gets rid of the licence issue but allows Outlook to work
at normal running speed without hanging, crashing or remaining on egg timer.

Can't say how pleased I was to get this advice and I hope it resolves your
issue too.
