Hi,
I've recently updated my WindowsXP prof. with these security updates
KB835732, KB828741, KB837001,Q831167 KB837009(Outlook Express)

Now Outlook 2003 (11.5608.5703) is unable to access the IMAP folder.
All the IMAP specific settings that I entered in Outlook are correct.
Internet connection is
established.
When I right click on Inbox of the IMAP folder and select IMAP folder...
from the menu I get this error:
"Connection with server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connect
to finish this process."

Any ideas how to troubleshoot?

TIA
Bodo

Can you telnet into the IMAP server, i.e. from a command prompt Telnet
name/IP of server 143

Hi,
yes I can telnet the IMAP server on port 143.

In Outlook I enable SSL (port 993) for IMAP Server.
However when I set this option to port 143 it doesnot help

Appreciate any thoughts

TIA

To determine whether its Outlook I would set it up in Outlook Express to
test the connection.

A connection to IMAP folder from Outlook Express works fine.
Now I uninstalled all the recent security packs, reboot the system and run
Office 2003 repair option. But all this doesnt help either
