Outlook 2003 trying to send 14 emails everytime I log in

Everytime I start Outlook 2003 it shows that I am sending 14 messages. This
goes on unitl it times out. In never actually sends any emails. I can then
use Outlook ok. There are never any email in the Outbox. How do I clear
this so I do not have this problem every time. Other than this, the email is
working (ie. sending and receiving).
