I have a user the can't open attachments properly through Outlook 2003. I
sent her and email with an Excel spreadsheet and she double clicked it and it
says "The operation failed" when opening. If she then closes outlook and goe
sback in she can open a few attachments, but then if starts happening again.

I have tried a repair and done all the updates too. What can I do?

Thanks

There is an Outlook "cache" that you might want to empty. Your forms cache
could have become corrupted. Try finding the file frmcache.dat on your hard
drive and deleting it. Do this with Outlook closed. Then reopen Outlook and
see if that helps.

Seems the file doesn't exist, she is not using Cach mode.

The Forms Cache to which Ms. Orland was referring is not related to Cached
Exchange Mode in any way. The frmcache.dat file is located in the (hidden)
folder
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook and you have to enable viewing hidden files and
fodlers in order for the search to find it. See this:
