Outlook 2003 Sent Items

I am using Outlook 2003 and when I send an email 2 emails get recorded in the
sent items.

If i sent an email to (e-mail address removed) sent items will have 2 emails sent to
(e-mail address removed). However the recepient that is (e-mail address removed) will recieve only 1
email.

Can someone tell me why there are 2 emails getting registered in the sent
items when i am only sending one and the recipient is only recieving 1.

Do you have rules configured? Are you using add-ins and/or synching
software?
