outlook 2003 send + receive

when sending and receiving in MS office outlook 2003 i press 'cancel all' and
it doesnt cancel anything - the emails keep coming. does anyone know howstop
this happening.

"Cancell All" cancels the pending tasks and aborts the current task. Mails
that are already received are still being processed. When your virusscanners
scans the incoming mails there can be still a lot of mails in the "buffer".
