outlook 2003 resource kit: administrative templates

John Smith

Hello,

I am looking into whether it is possible to deploy a MAPI profile for users
via group policy/administrative templates. I have obtained the Outlook 2003
resource kit administrative templates, however i have not had any luck
finding a place to define this (if it does exist!).

Ideally we would like to have a new user logon and get a new provile, but
have the Exchange MAPI settings defined, without messing around with Default
User Policies etc.

Any ideas?

Profile settings aren't deployed through the Office administrative
templates. It is possible by using third party templates but the Microsoft
supported way is to use the Custom Installation/Maintance Wizard and create
a mst, cmw or prf-file which you can deploy to your users.
