I have a partially sent email stuck in my Outlook Outbox that I can't delete,
open or move.

Start your computer w/out any type of connection. (e.g. disconnect network
and/or modem cord from PC). Start Windows > Start Outlook. Delete message
in Outbox. Close Outlook. Shutdown Windows. Reconnect PC to network.

If the above fails, run the Inbox repair tool (SCANPST.EXE) against your
*.PST file(s). Outlook 2003 stores them at:

\documents and settings\<userid>\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook

local settings and application data are hidden/system folders, so don't
forget to configure windows explorer accordingly

This usually works: In Outlook-- File, Work Offline, Delete the stuck
message. Then uncheck Work Offline.

However, you will need to close and restart Outlook each time for this solution to work

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without

After furious head scratching, Mary asked:

Thanks Milly. I finally had to shut the system down and disconnect the modem
before I went offline. Once I was off line I was able to get the file
deleted. Thanks for your help.
