Using an POP3 e-mail account, I'm receiving multiple messages of the same
e-mail. At times there could be 2 messages of the same e-mail, other times,
there could be around 7/8. This happens everytime I connect to download
e-mails. the interval to query the POP3 server is 1 minute and the account
is set to remove mesasges from the server.
The pst file in use has come from when I was using Outlook 2000 and now I am
using Outlook 2003

Thanks for any help,

Baz

Do you have any anti-virus software that scans incoming messages? If so,
turn of that scan.

Yes. I don't think that it would be very smart to turn off the scan!? Would
it. I have always had the scan running with no issues before, with the same
version of outlook.

If your anti-virus program has a "real-time" or "on-access" component (most
do), it will block any virus from running so you don't actually have to
prevent them from arriving in email.

The fact that the scan used to run doesn't mean much - you may have
received updates to the anti-virus program that are causing this to happen
(Norton released a problematic update in December, for example).
