Hello all,
I have a problem with my outbox in Outlook 2003. Typically the outbox
headers that are displayed in italic fonts are ready to be sent, this is how
they are displayed when a new email message is created. As soon as an outbox
message is clicked it opens for further editing and the header is displayed
in normal fonts. When saving the edited message the header is in normal
fonts and when applying the send & receive command the message is not sent,
unless in stead of saving the message choosing the "send" command which
makes the header back in italic, it is ready for sending. All this is normal
behavior according to the Outlook (2000/XP/2003) help files. My problem is
that even after hitting the send button, the message header does not become
italic and hence the edited message is not sent after the send & receive
command. As soon as a header is selected in the outbox folder it also
becomes normal in stead of italic and the message is not sent. If only one
(1) message is present in the outbox, as soon as opening the outbox, the
single message is not longer displayed in italic (logic because the only
present message is automatically selected), hence again it is not possible
to send it with the send & receive command, it just stays in the outbox
folder.
I have been looking around in the Outlook options without any success.
Automatic preview is disabled
I have done a "detect and repair" did not help (I even had to re-enter my
account settings)
I have created a new profile, same problem
This installation is an upgrade from Outlook XP
Cannot uninstall and reinstall everything, I would loose my Office XP
"Proofing Tools"
I have no further ideas, anyone ?....
All help and ideas appreciated.
