Outlook 2003 Outbox Stuck Message

I have an email with attachments that are apparently too big to send that is stuck in my Outlook 2003 Outbox. It has been there for three days and is bogging down everything. I noticed back in March another subscriber had the same problem. I couldn't find the ultimate solution in the thread, so am asking the question again.
I tried the "safe mode" method to no avail. Any advice?

Thanks.

What's the "safe mode method"? CLick FIle and check Work Offline. Stop
Outlook, wait a few moments, restart Outlook, the delete the message. Click
File and uncheck Work Offline.
