outlook 2003 not working

My Outlook Office 2003 has not been working since March when I did a window's
xp update. I tried to uninstall the update, but cannot find it on my system.
The program attempts to send a message and times out. I cannot receive or
send messages. I was told I have to reinstall the program. Last time I did
this I lost all my email (could not activate old pst file). Any suggestions.
I did delete and re-enter all the server information, but that didn't work.

From the OL Help menu you can try Detect/Repair
You could also post the *exact* err.msgs given when you test the accounts
Uninstalling OL rarely cures a problem, nor does it have any inpact on the
data files
