Outlook 2003 not receiving messages

R

Robsie

First I searched for simular problems and then I read and tried the
information listed in "Outlook Fails to Receive Messages".
Maybe
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=814441

However, it didn't work for me. I'm still not able to receive messages.

I've been searching the internet for the past few days to find things that
might be wrong. I've even tried to set up a new account and now I'm not sure
if I even have the right thing selected (such as POP3 or IMAP). I don't even
know the name of the incoming mail and outgoing mail server names. I have an
MSN account, but use Outlook for the contacts, e-mail and calendar features
that can sync to my Palm Treo phone.

Initially my send/receive mail was working earlier in the week. Then it
stopped receiving. Nothing on my end changed. All I did was open Outlook on
Wednesday, it received mail the first time then quit receiving the rest of
the day and week. At this point I'm not sure what to look at and change.

I'm using Windows XP, Outlook 2003, Service Pack 3 was updated. I'm not
sure what else I should provide. Let me know.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is your answer. Call your ISP for all the info that is needed to set up your account

My Outlook 2003 stopped receiving mail from my primary msn account about the
same time as Robsies. I know it is all set properly because it had worked
just fine for years then one day quit receiving. I have two other msn emails
that still work just fine. I reset-up the account and it work sporatically
for a few days, now again send fine but will not recieve.
