Outlook 2003 not archiving

J

we setup a user to archive his mailbox for anything older than 3 months..
this is set as his default on all folders and subfolders..

when we click File, Archive, then select to run it on all folders/subfolders
it takes about 40 seconds, and is done.. this user has over 1200 messages in
his inbox...

it seems to have moved some of the older emails, but we are still seeing
emails with dates of over a year old in his folders (2006) ...

I notice in other postings, you mention a option to view "modified dates" on
the email, but I'm not sure where I can view this... could this be the
culprit?

any other suggestions would help..

thanks.

To find additional fields and show them in Outlook:

Turn on the Advanced Toolbar as that's where all the best functions are
hidden away.
Click the Field Chooser from that toolbar.
Drag the Field you want from the Field CHooser window and place it beside
the field headings that you already have showing eg drag and drop it beside
the column header/field name "Subject".

Thanks for the reply.. I should have mentioned I had looked in the Field
Chooser already, and didn't see the field... but then discovered that the
ones listed are the 'frequently used' list... once I changed the list to
Date/Time I was able to find the Modified field.

This is resolved.
