This rule doesn't work for me. I want Outlook to play a sound whenever
a new message arrives, regardless of time or anything else.

Is there a registry fix or another setting change that will accomplish
what I want? Thanks!

Milly is very knowledgeable in this field, if she says 5 minutes, then I
would set the interval to check for emails every 5, or better still leave it
to the default 6 minutes...

You shouldn't be checking for new mail any more frequently than about 10
minutes any way.

You would need to do this using rules (beware, the new mail sound can drive
you a little nuts.)

Set the rule for all mail addressed to you in the To:, etc. fields, play a
sound.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
