Outlook 2003. Msgs font color pale yellow, black doesn't default.

Entering new text always defaults to pale yellow font color. Entering
"Automatic Black" doesn't change it. Every other location we've found to
change "font color" to black has been used to no avail. Any ideas appreciated.

Have you tried Tools>Options then mailformat tab and fonts and changed the
font colour there?

Thanks for your tip. Yes, I have tried that several times, and several more
after reading your suggestion. This default shows the pale yellow, in the
window, that I do not want, then I choose automatic black and switch the
helvetica font to times new roman. The program will not hold either of these
changes. As soon as I go back to the same or a new message, helvetica is
back as is the yellow.

I will do it once more, then shut down, and restart, to see if that changes
the settings.

Will,

Following your suggestion, then shutting the PC down and restarting solved
the problem. Now, it functions as it should.

Thanks!

Which format are you using to send your messages HTML or richtext and are
you using word as your default email editor?
