Outlook 2003 messages disappear

Good morning;

When using Outlook 2003 on one worskation running XP Pro, server running SBS
2003, the email messages are disappearing after being downloaded. User opens
Outlook, messages are downloaded, clicks on a message to read it, then when
user returns to the inbox pane, the message disappears. A search for the
message returns can not be found. Email is hosted outside by outside
provider-pop account.

I have checked the setting for this user and workstation against the others
that are working fine and can nto see what is different. Any suggestions or
solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked if the user has filters applied?
Perhaps to view unread mail only?

Thanks for the reply. I did not see any rules set up but is there another
place to check for filters? A usual, user is quick to say-I did not change
or install anything!

See if there's a "filter applied" on the Inbox bar; another place is view on
the toolbar >> arrange by >> current view.

Good morning Candee;

Not sure what you mean by .pst. She is set-up to get messages from pop
account, folders that the mail is delivered to to is same as the others that
are getting mail as usual. She gets the mail but after viewing the message
when she clicks on another message, the viewed notes disappear.
