When I click on the reply button it always takes 30 seconds for it to open.
And once I click it outlook freezes until it opens. Also when I click on
links in emails, it takes over a minute for it to open.

Im running XP, Pentium D 3.0Ghz, 512MB RAM

How can I speed it up?

Thanks

Locate and run scanpst.exe on your data file (pst) with Outlook closed
If you dont know the name/path of your data file, within Outlook, check
properties of Personal Folders>Advanced
Filename gives both name & Path
And what is shown for Format?

I scanned the .pst file and repaired it, but it is still running slow. Could
my problem be NOD32?

Just an update, I turned off NOD32 and tried Outlook, but it is still slow,
so I ruled out NOD32.

This problem just started last week. Prior to that it was fine. Ive scanned
for virus', spyware etc but my PC is clean.

What else can I do?

You still havent responded as to what Format is shown under properties of
Personal Folders - may be relevent

Also, when I ran it in Safe Mode, when I click the reply button it was
lightning fast. However when clicking on a link it is slow, but when you
click on another link after the first one has loading it quick. But when you
close Outlook and open it again the first link is slow, but then it fine fore
every link after that.

A link? do you mean a link that opens your web browser
BTW You ran scanpst.exe which repaired some err's, did you run it again, &
several times if it fixes an err

Yeah when I click on a link in an email it takes forever to open it up in
IE7. I ran scanpst.exe again and it said the file was fine and had no errors.
