outlook 2003 inbox format

How can I eliminate the "Today", "Yesterday", "Last Week", etc? I much
prefer the look of Outlook 2000.

That's great, but how does one make that "stick?"
Every time I get out and back into Outlook, it's
back like it was (in groups, again).

You would need to edit the default "Messages" view. View > Arrange By >
Current View > Define Views > Select Messages in the table then the modify
button. Select Other Settings Button. You are after the 2 check boxes in
the Gridlines and Groups section (not quite 1/2 down). Just OK out and then
"apply" the view.
