outlook 2003 hangs up after each send receive although box not ch.

I am using outlook Express and OUTLOOK 2003, the last one is my default
email. eache I start it connects to my ISP but hangs up after send and
receive. The hang up box is not checked what can I do to stop this hanging up
on me ?

I assume that you are using dial-up connection. I suggest
that spyware is causing this problem. Download, install,
update, and scan with Ad-aware SE: http://www.lavasoftusa.com

my outlook2003 does exactly the same, hangs when the start/recieve process
runs after starting the application, im on on broadband - i have several
different versions of spyware installed, uncluding microsofts own version,
they can find nothing and it still hangs. i called microsoft about this and
they cant tell me why this is happening....

I am having the same problem and usinga DSL connection. I recently replaced
my had drive and reloaded Outlook. No problems accured with it until I use
the suggested Microsoft updates
