Outlook 2003 freezing up

Outlook keeps freezing. Restarting sometimes fixes it. Have reinstalled
Office 4 times.
Sometimes Outlook wants to start in safe mode.
Any tips?
 
Sounds like a problem.
All updates there? OS and Office?
Hardware performing sufficiently?
Is your .pst file old and weary? I might consider making a copy of the .pst
and running scanpst to see if it has any issues.

Updates OK, think hardware OK.
Pst is old & tried to archive but nothing's happened as yet.
Ran scanpst, fixed some probs but Outlook still locks up.
 
I've run scanpst multiple times in the past to get things fixed.

But the .pst world is not a perfect world. If you are able to mount the
..pst, I would consider doing so as a secondary outlook data file in a new
profile and start using drag and drop from the old .pst to the new one.
