Outlook 2003: Foward email to pager

I'm using Outlook 2003 SP3. I want to forward an email when it is received
into a mailbox to a text pager.

I have set up a rule in the mailbox and tested. The text pager never
receives the message. The pager is outside the company's exchange server. i.
e. (e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed)

1. Is this possible?

2. Are there configuration that have to be established?

since the pager has an email address, it should work. Have you confirmed that forwarding works? The admin may have disabled forwarding outside of the network.
