Outlook 2003 Error

I've just installed Outlook 2003 XP Pro. I'm able to view incoming emails but
am not able to send. When I try to compose a new email it get the following
error."Messaging interface has returned an unknown error If problem persists,
restart Outlook". I've reinstalled the software and no luck. This is an
exchange account. Help please.

Hi,
sounds like an corrupt profile,
please create a new profile!
 
Try creating a new mail profile via the mail applet in the control panel.
(do not copy the existing profile)

You also might try running fixmapi.exe.

Last but not least, if you have any type of antivirus, antispam, personal
firewall, .etc software that can scan e-mail in real-time, you will need to
disable it to make sure that it isn't something 3rd party'ish that is
causing Outlook to barf.
 
thanks for your help. I deleted the existing profile and it worked fine
