Outlook 2003 email downloads

Trouble downloading email into Outlook 2003 from ISP, particularly junk mail
and occasionally Inbox messages. Have to access ISP email site to check and
then delete junk mail. Also, occasionally Outlook downloads same messages
more than once.

The particular one is: Outlook will not retrieve all my emails from my ISP,
which is Road Runner. This was not the case when Office Outlook was
installed. All the mail was downloaded to Outlook, and I could then delete
items from the Junk Mail folder. This fault started only recently. RR says
everything is working correctly on their end. I'm running CA's security
suite.
 
If you have your anti virus intergrated with OL, either disable the
intergration if you can, or failing that uninstall the security suite,
before reinstalling without the OL intergration.
 
That is caused by Road Runner settings, not OL. RR blocks Junk Mail from
being downloaded by any email program. I find that it does a decent job but I
like to check the Junk folder online to make sure. You can change the
settings at the RR webmail site by signing in and selecting Settings, Junk
Mail and also look at all the categories under Mail Management.
