Outlook 2003 Doesn't Preseve "Received" Date When Importing Old Mail

E

Earl F Glynn

I transferred my old OE 6 E-mail to Outlook 2003. I am QUITE disappointed
that Outlook 2003 now doesn't show the original "Received" date of the
E-mail, but rather shows the date of when I imported the E-mail. Why would
anyone want the time stamps changed when E-mail is imported like this?

I can't seem to find an Outlook Option that will let me see the original
sent/received times stamps. Now finding anything by date just can't be done
because of what Outlook 2003 has done to the E-mail even though the time
stamps are in the E-mails if they are opened.

Is this a "bug" or a "feature" that I don't understand?

this cannot be done if your are using IMAP.

Whenever I upload the email to the IMAP server, it uses the date of the upload instead of the "Received Date"

Any suggestions.
