Outlook 2003 - does not show default printer in drop-down list

When I attempt to print anything in Outlook the drop-down list of printers
shows a blank at the top of the list. If I go and select a printer from the
drop-down it prints normally. I have tried the outlook /CleanProfile switch
but this does not fix this condition. Have found nada by googling. Any
ideas, anyone?

If you use the Printers icon in control panel to display all of your installed printers, do you still show a blank? If yes, have you tried deleting it by highlighting it and pressing delete (or Edit->Delete)?

Hi Milly,

No blanks either in Control Panel or any other applications, only Outlook.
I have also tried Detect and Repair in Outlook to no avail.
