Outlook 2003 crashed by Connector removal

I installed Connector beta 12.1? with XP and Outlook on 2003. Then
uninstalled Connector and Outlook 2003 won't Send/Receive. Can not access
email accounts via Tools or Control Panel. Uninstalled Outlook and
reinstalled no help. Renamed msmapi32.dll and mapi32.dll and repaired no
help. Uninstalled Outlook with MS Windows installer Clean-up Utility. No
help???????
Through it all I was able to configure and use Outlook Express.

1. Why did you uninstall the connector?
2. What happens when you try to access email accounts? Error messages?
3. Did you ever try detect and repair from the help menu in Outlook?
