Outlook 2003 - Cannot turn off audio notifications

I am running Outlook 2003 and need to turn off the audio notification
"You've got x emails" when mail arrives ans "You have x unread emails"
when outlook is started. I have searched the MS data bases and cannot
find the answer. HELP!!!

That's because it is not an Outlook feature. Most likely you have a Toshiba
computer. They have installed a utility that does this. Reconfigure or
uninstall it.
