Hi,

I am VPNing to work and although I can browse files and folders and
ping e.t.c., I am receiving the following error in Outlook:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004011D : 'The
server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition
persists.'

I can ping and tracert to the exchange server but for some reason
Outlook cannot find it!

I am connecting wirelessly to my local router and then out so I have a
DHCP address on the wireless interface and then an IP address for the
VPN.

Could it be something to do with the routing?

Any help much appreciated.

Nope, sounds more like a DNS issue to me. See if you can ping the Exchange
server by its FQDN.

I'll do that and post the results. I have a firewall on my router and
a desktop firewall. I'll stop them both temporarily..

Are you running any firewall? Disable it for troubleshooting purposes.

Unfortunately it makes no difference. As far as I can tell all other
connectivity on the VPN is absolutely fine but Outlook to Exchange is
not playing ball!
