Outlook 2003 Cached Exchange Mode!!!

I have a laptop with WinXP and Office 2003.
Outlook is setup for exchange on a LAN.
When I enable Cached Exchange Mode on this system,
I am not able to view any emails in the inbox or any
other folder for that matter.
Has anyone else had this experience?
If so, how did you fix it?

Help!!!
 
I was also trying to use cached exchange mode but it
takes about 1 minute to get email, it looks like outlook
is configured this way on cached. Just remove the cached
and see whether you can receive mail immediately. I've
tried it and use it without cached. Cached mode means
that mail is downloaded on your laptop and a copy kept on
your laptop to be used on the road if you wish.
