Outlook 2003 Business Contact Manager

This add-in is consistently giving me the error
message "Database Creation has failed" when I try to
start it up for the first time in any of the profiles on
this desktop. I've a hunch that one of the services
hasn't started, but I can't tell which services are
related to this. I've tried uninstalling, shutting down,
and reinstalling and shutting down. No luck. Any
suggestions? Thanks, T

One thing to try might be creating a new profile and letting BCM try to set itself up. If that doesn't work, I'd file a no-charge support incident at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;incidentsubmit

Just curious: Do you have administrator privileges in the current Windows login?

Yes, I've got administrator privileges, and I tried the
new profile, but still got the same error message. I'll
now go to file a no-charge support incident. Thanks, T

What's the problem? We've been getting some troubleshooting hints from Microsoft to help with BCM.

Check the permissions on the Windows account that you're logged in as and make sure that login is a member of either the Administrators or BCMUsers group.
