Outlook 2003 and GPO

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can enforce the DisablePST registry key in
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook through Windows 2000 group
policy. I want to stop people creating PST files. I've configured the
registry entry in an MST file so its created at installation time but I want
to enforce it.

I've tried to create a custom ADM file but without any success. I only seem
to be able to get entries in the ADM file to work for the following registry
path

HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\DisablePST which does
not work.

Thanks in advance

Darren

Hej Darren,

Did you tried the Office 2003 Custom Maintenance Wizard
which comes with the Office 2003 Reskit?

CMW doesn't enforce. It sets a default.

Why are you using a custom .adm file? The .adm file available in the Office Resource Kit should work fine.

Note, however, that DisablePST may not do exactly what you want. I wrote about this in an article last month; see http://www.winnetmag.com/Article/ArticleID/40960/40960.html

I've been through the Policy settings in the Outlk11.adm and the DisablePST
entry does not exist. Hence trying to create a custom .adm file.

Thanks
