Outlook 2003 - Add to Contacts button is missing

Susie

In Outlook 2003, when you view the properties of someone that has sent you a
message and is a member of the GAL a user should have an "Add to Contacts"
button displayed on the left hand side.

I have one user that doesn't have a button displayed nor does he have the
option to add a user to contacts when right clicking a member of the GAL via
the address book page, all he sees is the properties option.

Any ideas?

Thanx Susie

If the sender is in the GAL, why would the user need to add the sender to
his contacts?

So that he can sync through to his PDA Windows Mobile 2003 and PDA devices so
he can see GAL contacts together with his own personal ones in his contact
list

Does he intend to mail messages from his PDA or is is a smart phone and he
wants the phone numbers? If yes to either, then I understand.

I am having the same issue and didnt see a response...did you get one?

This could be because of Outlook address book missing, Please add it
by following the below

Tools --> Email accounts --> Add new directory/Address book -->
Additional address book --> Outlook address book . After performing
the above. You should be able to get the add to contacts option when
you click on the properties of a entry.
