Outlook 2003 3D effect

After our IT dept installed some other software, Outlook 2003 went from
looking good, to looking awful.
Now, instead of the nice 3D/shaded effect, It's gone to plain gray - but
Windows in general is still looking the same (i.e. it doesn't look like the
whole Display Properties>Appearance>Window and buttons/Color scheme thing is
the problem)
Anyone have any ideas on how to pretty it up again?

Of course - It would somehow manage to fix itself just after I resorted to
posting this message

I am having the same problem, and my problem hasn't gone away yet! I am only
having this problem with Word, Outlook, Excel and probably some other MS
Office applications. No problems with Adobe, Internet Explorer, etc.

It's exactly what "floored" is describing. Also, I have a very fine dotted
line around all of my menus in these applications... very weird, and very
ugly.

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.
