Outlook 2002 Takes forever to Get Started

I have plenty of RAM (512) and loads of processor (2.66) on
an Inspiron 5100, and every other Office program I have
gets going almost instantly when I click on it, but Outlook
takes approximately 15 to 20 seconds for it to come up. I'm
not sure, but it just seems as though something isn't
optimized the way it should be, becuase my ancient desktop
will bring up Outlook 2002 in about a second. Any
suggestions on how I can reduce my wait every time I start
Outlook?

Tools>Options>Other. Uncheck Messenger integration down at the bottom.

If you are using Norton Anti-virus, go to Option \
Miscellaneous and unmarked "Enable Office Plug in". It
should correct the problem.
