Outlook 2002 sound problem

I am trying to get Outlook to play a cool .wav file I downloaded for when I
receive new mail.

I went to the sounds section under the control panel and I set the "new
mail" notification to play the .wav file, but when I get new mail, it still
just beeps at me.

Can anyone help?

Is Outlook set to play a sound in Tools-> Options-> E-mail Options-> button
Advanced E-mail Options as well?

Yes, that is checked. When I uncheck it, no sound plays at all.
