Outlook 2002 "rules wizard"

I've created a rule to move all "[SPAM]" noted messages into my SPAM folder,
which is located in the ARCHIVE section of my Outlook. However, I still am
receiving messages into my INBOX already tagged as "[SPAM]".

Can anyone help??

Well, first thing I would do is move that rule to the top of the Rules list
and add the 'Stop processing more rules' action, since the most obvious
possibility is that there is another rule affecting the message which causes
it not to move.

Also, what type of mail account is this? IMAP or POP?

This begs another question: why do you want to save the spam messages in
your archive PST?

This begs another question: why do you want to save the spam messages in
your archive PST?

Hello,

Create a new rule to move the spam e-mails to junk folder or Spam
folder ( create a new folder )

If this rule doesnot work test whether other rules works, if not
create a new profile

If you have open the archive (*.pst) outlook data file in Outlook, and you
view the folders in that file with your primary OUTLOOK folders. I believe
that you can not use a rule to move your [SPAM] message directly into the a
folder in the Archive.pst file.

1. You can try the following two (2) rules.
a. When message arrives containing [spam] in the subject line.
b. Place a COPY in the SPAM folder in the Archive personal folder,
message folder tree.
c. Delete it. You might want to wait to add this Action once you see
that the rule is moving a copy of the message to the Appropriate folder.
d.Stop Processing More rules. This action is necessary.
e. Now you may need to place this rule at the top of the rules list.

2. Or you can try this.
Create a folder, name it "SPAM", in your primary personal folder message
tree. Right click the folder> Properties> AutoAchive tab> Select it to
Archive messages from this folder on a daily basis.
Then create a rule.
a. When message arrives containing [spam] in the subject line.
b.Move it to the SPAM folder you created in the primary personal folder,
message folder tree.
c. Delete it. You might want to wait to add this Action once you see
that the rule is moving the message to the Appropriate folder.
d. Stop Processing More rules. This action is necessary.
e. Now you may need to place this rule at the top of the rules list.

Sure you can. A rule will move to a folder in any existing open PST.
