Outlook 2002 rules and exceptions

R

Rick Charnes

I have the following rule to delete all external mail except for one
sender: (e-mail address removed)

Apply this rule after the message arrives
with @ in the sender's address
delete it
except if from (e-mail address removed)

I used the exception "Except if from people or distribution list" and
added this particular name not on a distribution list. Yet I find that
mail from (e-mail address removed) nevertheless gets deleted. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I can't explain why that rule isn't working, but here's an alternative
approach you might try:

Create one rule:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
from (e-mail address removed)
stop processing more rules

Then create a second rule

Apply this rule after the message arrives
with @ in the sender's address
delete it
