email blocked from verizon.net

Email messages from all users using the domain" verizon.net" are being
blocked from my "msn.com" account. This only started within the last week.
The senders (verizon.net) are not getting any messages indicating their email
is not being delivered. The same messages are copied to aol and other domains
and arrive there. Tis is happening using Outlook and windows Live

I have added the users to a safe senders list; I have added the verizon
domain to safe domain list. I tried contacting Verizon and MSN; no luck,,any
ideas?

"Being blocked" and "not arriving" are completely separate. What indication
do you have that they are being blocked and simply not failing to be
delivered for some reason?

Ok ; i checked; they are not arriving. I had several of my verizon.net
contact sent me the error messages they eventually got: "Error reading SMTP
packet; response to RCPT TO command expected"

Seems the problem just started late Friday 9-19--09 night...Did MSN run some
kind of update then? thanks for trying to help me

Sorry Brian; meant it started 9-29-08 not 9-19.

That indicates a problem on the sender's end.

Since MSN doesn't, in general, use SMTP and the senders aren't connecting to
MSN, I don't think and hypothetical MSN changes would impact the problem.

Hey finally got an answer from Microsoft; here's what they say
"It appears that the sender or the sender's domain is being affected by one
of our anti-spam or bulk message filters. I cannot resolve this for you
immediately, but I have escalated this issue to the Sender Escalations Team.
This team works directly with senders, domains, other ISPs, and is dedicated
to resolving e-mail delivery failures as quickly as possible.

The Sender Escalations Team will attempt to contact the e-mail administrator
of verizon.net domain. It may take a few days for the Sender Escalations
Team to investigate this issue and for your wanted e-mail to arrive in your
Inbox. "

so I guess I'll just sit tight for a while and hope they fix the problem.
Thanks for your input
