Each time I start to reply or start a new message I get a pop up message that
says: A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in Outlook
If this is unexpected it may be a virus and you should choose no. Yes says
it can attach for X minutes.
My McAfee is up to date and I show no viruses. What else could be my
problem or could it be one that McAfee can't catch?

You have a Word add-in that doesn't conform to the Outlook Object Model
Guard and the most likely candidate is Adobe Acrobat. See
