OUTLOOK 2002 - MAXIMUM NUMBER OF EMAILS IN OUTBOX

Is there a limit to the number of emails the Outbox can
hold at any given point in time? I have a mass mailing
monhtly process that sends out a newsletter to close to
1000 members (I use Act! contact management software to
create the mailings. Act creates each individual
email, "deposits" it in Outlook's Outbox, and Outlook
does the rest).

I tried sending all 1000 emails and it stopped. I had to
segment the list into 10 separate lists of 100 members,
allow the Outbox to empty, and then send the next 100.

It would be so much easier if I could do this in one pass
instead of 10. Thanks!

The number of items that you can send at one time is set by your ISP, not
Outlook.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Jose Guerra asked:

I checked with my ISP and their limit is 10,000 so that's
not the problem. However, they did say that if I have a
virus checker (scanning the messages as they go out) that
that could be stopping it. I am not sure that makes
sense but I will try de-activating outgoing scans and see
what happens.
