Outlook 2002 forgets email passwords

Each time I start outlook 2002, I am prompted to enter my
passwords for each of my email accounts. I checked the
Remember Password box in the email account setup and also
each time in the window that pops up to ask me for my
password.

The problem you are experiencing is normally due to the Registry containing incorrect information for the Protected Storage System Provider registry
subkey for your account.
