Outlook 2002 - Duplicate emails - once I redownload

I have just restored PC after big mess and am downloading emails again
but now I have loads and loads of duplicates.
Is there some way I can delete the duplicate emails without doing it
manually? Is there a freeware app or plugin that I can use please.

You had the right idea by crossposting to microsoft.public.outlook.
You could also try microsoft.public.outlook.general. Both causes and
fixes for duplicate messages are often discussed there. For your
convenience, here is a sample search of those groups:
<http://groups.google.com/groups?q=group:microsoft.public.outlook.*+duplicate+"outlook+2002">
Try adding keywords like DELETE or REMOVE to narrow that down. Hope
you find what you need.
