Outlook 2002 double receive messages

I have Win XP Pro, Outlook 2002, when i click on send/receive messages I end
up with two of every received message, it is otherwise working fine.
sending only one message is sent. Is this a known problem? How do I go
about resolving this?
 
Hi Jeff,
have you created some rules?
please check them, and be sure that every rule ends with.
"stop processing more rules"
