Outlook 2002: Can't receive emails

After 15 years with juno.com, I just got DSL -- hey, I live on an island,
it's the best we can do -- through my phone company, Centurytel. Emails are
supposed to send/receive through Outlook. I can send but not receive. I got
a single burst of emails when we set it up and have never gotten another,
despite having sent test emails and asked friends to send some. After over 2
hours on the phone with verious Centurytel tech support people, they
determined that all my Outlook settings are OK, my server settings & addys
are right & that there must be something else wrong. I disabled my virus
filter, lowered my firewall settings, and am out of ideas.

Can ANYBODY help?
