Outlook 2002 can't connect to LDAP

P

Peter

Since migrating to outlook 2002 I haven't been able to
connect to my LDAP Dir Srvr. The error message I receive
is a popup window titled: Microsoft LDAP Directory, and the
error message is: Control not found.

The previous version of outlook connected just fine, as do
my other applications.

What is outlook 2002 complaining about?

Peter,

Please make sure you have all the Office XP service packs and post SP-2
updates installed. Then, if you still have the same problem enable the
DisableVLVBrowsing registry data per the following article.

329458 OL2002: Outlook Appears to Stop Responding When You Choose an LDAP
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=329458

Please ignore the "hotfix" information in that article as you <should> have
the hotfix on your machine if you've installed all the latest updates. You
can compare your file versions with those listed in the article if you want
to make sure it's installed. If not, you will need to call Product Support
Services to get the hotfix.

Hope this helps.
