outlook 2002 always opens on September 25, how do i make it open t

I am running Office XP that uses Outlook 2002, the calendar always opens on
September 25, even when i try to go to todays date it goes back to Sep 25.
How can I fix it so that it opens on todays date, this has only started
happening resently, could there be a problem with a recent update causing
this?
