People are unable to open attachments when I send a .jpeg
or .gif attachment. The receive a winmail.dat file
instead.
I have looked for a setting in Options but can not locate
the area to solve the problem.
I have tried various applications - Picture It, Photo
Shop, and ULead Photo Express - all with the same results.
Any suggestions out there?

To change the format of your email:
Open TOOLS | OPTIONS... | MAIL FORMAT

Try using Plain Text format to send your attachment.
