Outlook 2000 will not install

B

barb

I had problems with Outlook giving me "Outlook.exe has
generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will
need to restart the program". I tried that, then I
rebooted my computer, when that didn't help, I re-
installed Outlook - that didn't work so I uninstalled the
whole Office 2000 and reinstalled the whole thing again.
All the prgrams work except Outlook.

HELP!!!

OK, I guess I need a little more help. I went to Control
Panel, and found the "mail" icon. When I open it, I don't
find a "show profile" button, just the box that
says "internet accounts" - which gives me the settings I'm
using. Should I delete these and start again? It scares
me to delete things that have worked for over a year and a
half.

I did that. No help. Outlook will not even open at all.
Can't use it for ANYTHING (calendar, contacts, tasks etc.)-
forget about the mail part! I've been thinking about
just buying 2003 and starting over. My Outlook 2000 was an
OEM program, which means "no help from Microsoft". I got
Windows 2000 last year, but it's a "Professional" version,
which means if I want help from Microsoft, I have to pay
$245 to even talk to any one!
Getting frustrated after spending all day now trying to
get help on this.
